Acquisition Aesthetics: A Year in Review

We can’t quite believe that 2021 is drawing to a close! The past year has been one of challenges and uncertainties for our organisation and businesses throughout the wider aesthetics community. Still, here at Acquisition Aesthetics, we have much to be thankful for as we continue to learn, expand and develop. We’ve enjoyed notable successes that have only been made possible by the hard work and dedication demonstrated by our team, and we’re delighted to have grown and expanded despite the significant obstacles that the coronavirus pandemic has presented.

We want to take the opportunity to review our most prominent achievements of the past 12 months and celebrate Acquisition Aesthetics’ 2021 highlights.

A team of dedicated professionals

While looking back on the second challenging year of the pandemic, we, of course, must pay tribute to our incredible faculty of expert trainers, who have continued to balance aesthetic commitments with essential contributions to the NHS. In what has been an exceptionally testing year for medical professionals, our team, including doctors, dentists, and nurses, has displayed the utmost professionalism and dedication.

The wider Acquisition Aesthetics team has also played a crucial role in our growth throughout 2021. Everyone from our course coordinators to the operations team has shown unwavering commitment to our training academy — for which we are immensely grateful.

Independent Training Provider of the Year 2021

We were delighted to be announced as Independent Training Provider of the Year for 2021 at the Aesthetics Awards after being nominated for the third year in a row. In a year that was complicated by the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, we worked extremely hard to adapt our business to adhere to the “new normal” while still providing our delegates and model customers with a gold-standard service.

Announced at the organisation’s virtual awards ceremony, the prestigious accolade was judged by a panel of industry experts, as well as members of the Aesthetics Journal. The award was indeed a reflection of our continued commitment to the highest standards of clinical excellence and contributions to the field of aesthetics medicine.

Expansion within the UK and Ireland

Acquisition Aesthetics was thrilled to announce the expansion of our aesthetic training academy earlier this year. Thanks to unprecedented demand for aspiring aestheticians throughout the UK and Ireland, we are now offering injectable courses in the cities of Dublin, Glasgow and Cardiff. This huge milestone for our aesthetics business has meant that we have doubled the number of locations of our training facilities and have made our courses far more accessible for delegates in all parts of the UK and Ireland.

Hosting for a great cause

Last month, Acquisition Aesthetics’ directors, Dr Lara Watson and Dr Priyanka Chadha, had the honour of hosting an important event for charitable organisation Aesthetics United. Bringing together an esteemed group of experts within the industry, the Aesthetics United Charity Conference consisted of informative lectures and collaborative workshops, including helpful guidance from the experts on running an aesthetics practice. The conference offered a unique learning event and valuable networking opportunity for current and aspiring aesthetic practitioners. More importantly, the combined efforts of everyone involved meant that over £100,000 was raised for Refuge UK and NHS Charities Together, two incredible organisations close to the hearts of many within the industry.

A growing team of experts

We’re delighted to have added numerous new faces to our fantastic faculty of trainers over the course of the past 12 months. Our talented team is pivotal to the success of our training courses and events, so we’re glad to have expanded with expert medical professionals who have proven to be invaluable to Acquisition Aesthetics’ development. The fabulous new trainers we’ve welcomed in 2021 include Dr Martin Small, Ms Patricia Molloy, Ms Anna Gunning, Dr Selina Sall, Dr Deepa Panch, Dr Aran Maxwell-Cox, Dr Faezeh Godazgar, Dr Asalet, Dr Ayah Siddiqi and Dr Dorota Chudek. We’re thrilled to have all of our new members on board and thank them for their dedication to providing an unrivalled level of excellence in injectable training for our delegates.

Looking forward to 2022

As we prepare to toast the new year, we look forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead for 2022. Although uncertainty around the coronavirus pandemic remains, we will continue to work hard and do all we can to keep our staff, delegates and models safe in every aspect of our service. We look forward to developing and maintaining excellence in the field of aesthetic medicine.
